Paul Fouillen is another prominent name in the Quimper Art World. He joined the famous HB factory as a decorator in 1922 to become a leading artist a couple of years later. He won the Silver medal at "Exposition des Arts Decoratifs de Paris" in 1925 using his personnal bretons themes and motifs with a very "Deco" expression. He left "la Grande Maison HB" in 1928 to start his own business. Paul Fouillen will start to produce furnitures and items in wood, and will also produce some ceramic pieces during the war using Henriot's facilities. It is only from 1945 that he will start his own ceramic production and become the 3rd "Faiencerie de Quimper" (advised & helped by his friend Victor Lucas who would start Keraluc a year later...).

We will also present items from his son, Maurice Fouillen, who not only acted as a keeper of the Fouillen factory's history and reputation but also as a versatile artist.
